Volpe is the Italian word for fox, Volpino is the diminutive form and can be translated as "little fox". In many cultures, the fox has a strong symbolic role in folklore, often depicted as a cunning and intelligent animal. The name is well-chosen, as this series is characterized by a "foxy" design language.

The platform sharing strategy of this extended "patchwork" family makes it possible to furnish architectural projects with multifunctional seating boasting matching design aesthetics. The interior design of each room is perfectly tailored to its specific needs, with the different variations complementing each other.

The bench is capable of supporting up to six comfortable seat shells mounted on a steel stretcher bar. Optionally, a seat shell can be substituted with a top.
